The Making of Arrhythmia Suite, III., Ventricular Ectopics with Short Ventricular Tachycardia Runs for HRC2021

Pier Lambiase gives a succinct introduction to ventricular ectopics and Elaine Chew describes the making of Arrhythmia Suite, III. Ventricular Ectopics with Short Ventricular Tachycardia Runs, using fragments from Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.

Some believe Beethoven may have suffered from arrhythmia and his heartbeats were responsible for the distinctive rhythms in his music. Hence, the timely homage to the composer, whose 250th anniversary celebrations were covid-extended into 2021.

This is the second in a series of arrhythmia music videos leading up to the Arrhythmia Alliance’s Heart Rhythm Congress (3-6 October 2021, online). Arrhythmia Suite, III., itself will première on World Heart Day (29 Sep 2021).
