Last night, at the GKT* School of Medical Education prize-giving ceremony, Deniz Suer was awarded the Golding Bird Prize Fund for receiving the highest Scholarly Project mark (tied with one other student) for his involvement in and report on the music and heart study last year.
Deniz is an MBBS (medical) student currently intercalating (spending a year away from medical studies) in Humanities, Philosophy and Law at Imperial College. His scholarly project on music and the heart, “Examining the heart’s response to experienced expressive musical structures” was supervised by Elaine Chew and co-supervised by Mateusz Soliński.
