IRCAM and the STMS Laboratory closed at 7pm on Monday, 16 March 2020, in strict observance of social distancing measures following the government’s decision to lock down the country to slow the spread of COVID-19. All productions, residencies, and training courses at IRCAM have been suspended. Scientific activity at STMS is moved online, and all meetings replaced by mail, Skype, and conference calls.
The COSMOS Team continues to work from a distance, focusing on software and algorithm development, and data analysis. Before the Lab closed, we recorded some preliminary data on the Bösendorfer Enspire PRO No. 42. This should keep us busy for some weeks. Here is a glimpse of our daily team meetings spanning Paris, London, Strasbourg, and Valencia.
