We are pleased to announce the launch of CosmoNote, a web-based musical annotation interface. The launch features Glenn Gould’s 1955 performance of the Goldberg Variations: the Aria and the first seven variations, with MIDI transcribed by Anatoly Larkin.
We invite you to mark the boundaries as communicated by the performer (see annotation instructions). The goal is to understand how listeners perceive structures in performed music. Please visit the site at cosmonote.ircam.fr to create an account using your email address. You’ll find training examples to first try out the interface and our HowTo page for more information.
New collections for annotation will be unveiled periodically, so follow us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) to stay updated.
