Elaine Chew was an invited panelist on New Visions for Music as Medicine at the inaugural New Visions for Music and Sound conference in Berlin organised by Matthias Strobel (MusicTech Germany) and Philipp Grefer (WISE), with Anna Zò (Head of Music Tech Europe Academy).
The session delved into the transformative power of music on the human brain and body, and how sound can be a powerful tool for health and well-being. The panel took place 2pm on the Pfefferberg Stage on Thursday, 5 September 2024, with other panelists Laura-June Clarke (Founder/CEO, Moonai), Tom Middleton (Sensory Designer, White Mirror), and Marina Guz (Chief Commercial Officer, Endel), and moderator Fiona Miller (Researcher, University of Sussex).
The speakers’ dinner took place at the Katerschmaus along the Spree. Elaine enjoyed a walking tour of Berlin thanks to Lehigh colleague Vera Stegmann.
